Falkland Palace

Built between 1501 and 1541 by James IV and James V, the Royal Palace of Falkland was the country residence of Stuart Kings and Queens when they hunted deer and wild boar in the Fife Forest. It is also where Mary Queen of Scots spent some of the happiest days of her tragic life.

Scone Palace

Visit Scone Palace, the crowning place of Scottish Kings, where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were crowned. Scone breathes history like nowhere else in Scotland. It is the family home of the Earls of Mansfield and the ancient crowning place of Scottish Kings on the Stone of Scone. It was the capital of Pictavia in the 5th Century onwards. Medieval Parliaments were held at Scone and it was immortalised in Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

Glamis Castle

The family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne, Glamis Castle has been a royal residence since 1372. It was the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the birthplace of Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret and the legendary setting of Shakespeare’s play "Macbeth".
