Since re-launching in April 2008, the Road Hole Restaurant (rated 3 AA rosettes) has received consistently positive feedback from customers, as well as excellent reviews in the press. The Head Chef, Paul Hart, offers a diverse selection of spectacular dishes using Scottish, and where possible, organic ingredients. The Road Hole Restaurant offers a Table d’hote menu, an exquisite eight-course tasting menu and an accompanying vegetarian menu, which all change on a seasonal basis. The two tasting menus are paired with an exquisite selection of champagne and wines, hand-picked by the expert Sommelier, Richard Coulson.

The Road Hole Restaurant boasts dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows which capture the picture-postcard views of the Old Course, the “auld grey toon” of St Andrews and the sweeping coastal vista. The windows were inspired by Herbert V. Kohler Jr, the entrepreneurial owner of the Old Course Hotel, whose love and passion for Scotland and its natural larder are encapsulated within the restaurant itself. The addition of the new “Road Hole Table” provides a prominent corner position directly above the 17th “Road Hole” of the Old Course.  The original open kitchen remains one of the key features of the restaurant, adding a sense of theatre and drama to an outstanding dining experience.
