October 2009 – The Old Course Hotel is awarded the Scottish Liscence Trade News (SLTN) Award for Hotel of the Year

June 2009 – The Old Course Hotel is awarded “Gold Tee” Meetings & Conventions (M&C) Gold Tee Award 2009 for their consistent excellence in serving the golf and meetings industry

April 2009 – The Kohler Waters Spa Team at The Old Course Hotel are awarded Sap Team of the Year

March 2009 – The Old Course Hotel is awarded “Golf Hotel of the Year 2009” in the inaugural Scottish Hotel Awards (SHA) 2009.  In addition, the Kohler Waters Spa was awarded the “Spa Team of the Year 2009”

February 2009 – The Old Course Hotel is awarded the Hotel Booking Agency Association (HBAA) award for Training & development

February 2009 – Ten employees are awarded a prestigious training scholarship by the Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland (HIT) 
 
January 2009 – The Old Course Hotel is rated in the top 20% within Conde Nast Traveler (USA) ‘World’s Best Places to Stay’ 15th Annual Gold List with an overall score of 88.3.  Over 32,000 Conde Nast Traveler readers voted on the best hotels, resorts and cruise lines in their annual Readers' Choice Awards

January 2009 – The Old Course Hotel is rated in the top 20% in Travel + Leisure (USA) ‘500 World’s Best Hotels’ in the 7th Annual World’s Best Survey with an overall score of 82.22, as completed by T+L’s global team of reporters and editors

January 2009 – The Old Course Hotel wins a Hotel Excellence Award in the category of  “Excellence Through People”, given by the Hotel Reservation Service (HRS), Europe’s largest online booking portal, designed to showcase best practice in the UK hotel industry and to recognise outstanding achievement.  The Old Course Hotel was also short-listed for the category of “Excellent Customer Service.”

March 2008 - Andrew Field, Demi Chef de Partie, is a finalist in the Scottish Food Scholarship and receives a special award for the best presentation.

February 2008 - The Old Course Hotel wins The Scottish Golf Hotel of the Year title at the Scottish Hotels of the Year Awards 2008

February 2008 - Paul Hart, Head Chef at the Road Hole Grill receives a Chef Médaille d'Or 2008 for Outstanding Cuisine at Dinner at the Scottish Hotels of the Year Awards 2008

October 2007 - The Kohler Waters Spa is rated amongs the Top UK Spas in the Tatler Spa Guide

June 2007 - The Old Course Hotel retains the AA's supereme accolade, the Inspectors' Choice Award, and the highest rating of 5 Red Stars for 2007-2008.
